Half Double Crochet:  I found this link to share with you, if you are just getting started.  If you really like it, but don't like following a pattern (or keep losing your place due to stopping alot!), take a look at my other posts!  With a little imagination, you can make all sorts of things without a pattern; hence my blog creation!  Good luck!

This is a link to instructions on "how to single crochet," if you are just starting out.

Sneaking up on him! Ha.  This was at a restaurant we ate at a few weeks ago.  They had "life size" monsters standing all around.  Really gets you in the "spirit" of things, doesn't it?

SCARF #3-MULTI-COLORED WITH SCALLOPED EDGE
Dbl. Croc. with med. hook, as thick as desired.  I used a "multi-colored" skein of yarn here.  The last few rows are just a "loose" crochet, which gives it that fancy scalloped look. (switching to a different color makes it stand out)  Make one for yourself & for a gift.
From the lips of children and infants, you have ordained praise.  Psalm 8:2 (NIV)

If you are interested in donating items or filled shoeboxes for children, please note that Collection Week is: Nov. 12-19.  Check to see where the center is in your area (usually a church).  You can view info. on this webhttp://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/site
TOTE BAG-Med. size
Dbl. Croc. with a medium hook, until you have a long piece.   I folded it in half and sewed up both sides with a yarn needle, dbl. tacking at the top on each side.  I used a piece of leather I had in my craft box for a handle.   Insert the end of the leather strip  on the end of the bag, tie a knot to attach it.  I made this one different colors on each side to be different(just switched yarn, attached, & cont'd to croc.)  If you want to, you can sew on a button or hook for a closure.

Knit your hearts with an unslipping knot. ~ William Shakespeare
PUMPKIN HEAD- Stuff or leave back open, & use to store candy.
I just  Dbl. Croc. a med. size square.  The last few rows I croc. ev. 2nd loop, all the way around the piece to start "gathering it together."  Next row, Croc. ev. 3rd loop, all around piece.  The face is just black yarn ,sewed on with a yarn needle.  I experimented with this one, & you may have to even stitch it a little different, to suit.  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Scarf-Multi-colored:  Finished size is 4 in wide x 4 1/2 ft. long
Med. hook, multi thin yarn.  Do foundation row.   Dbl. Croc. 3 more rows.  Dbl. Croc. 1 row with blue yarn, going all the way around your piece. Dbl. Croc. white yarn all the way around your piece.
Shown here with it wrapped around twice & a knot tied in the front.
FINGER PUPPETS- VARIETY: Make a few for your Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!
I had the instructions on previous post.  You crochet a sm. rectangle a bit longer than your "pinky" finger.  Using a yarn needle, sew the 2 ends together lengthwise.  If its a light color yarn, you can draw a face on it with a perm. marker.  You can also sew eyes, nose, mouth on it with black yarn or thread.  Permanent glue or sew on  a hat (pom pom, yarn ,piece of material).  Let your imagination go wild!
The cloud puppets have a foam cloud that I sewed on with some thread.

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

Have you made the decision to ask Jesus into your heart?  His gift of eternal life is for anyone that is willing to "repent" from their sins, confess with your mouth that you believe in Jesus as your Saviour, that He died on the cross to forgive us from our sins, was buried, & rose again.  He went to heaven & sits with God the Father.  He will come back again for his children.  God loves all of us, and wishes that noone should perish.  But, the decision is yours.  He gave us free will, & wants us to come willingly.  If you have asked Him into your heart, that's great!  If not, please don't wait.  Your eternal life depends on it!  He can, & will use us to Glorify God.
