Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase Proverbs 3:9
SCARF #1(long version)-GET READY FOR WINTER!
This one measures 8 ft. long.  It is made with 10 rows of double crochet.  I used 2 colors tied together, to get alot of color combos.  You can wear it knotted in the front, or wrapped around the neck twice for extra warmth!

Purse and neck wraps (scarf)
These are nice for Operation Christmas Child boxes.  Dbl Croc. using med hook & 2-3 thin yarns, tied together.  When your piece is big enough, fold in half & sew up the sides.  Leave a section at top for a "flap."  I used a recycled piece of strap from an old tote bag.  Sewed it inside the bag at each end.  Sew on a button for a closure.  Neck wraps are just a long strip of half dbl. croc., folded & sewed together at the ends to form a circle.  This slips over your head, to keep the neck warm.

LAP BLANKET-PERSONALIZED WITH NAME
I made this for my sis last Christmas.  It is half Dbl Crochet with the edge finished off with single croc.  I switched colors to suit myself.  Her name was stitched in using a yarn needle.  She was pretty impressed with that, seeing its hard to find much with her first name.

MY NEIGHBOR'S SUNFLOWERS-
Take a break from your crochet to view some pretty sights around the neighborhood!  These things often inspire us to create something new!

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Galatians 6:9
If you are new to my blog,  you will see that I show ideas with the assumption, that you already know how to crochet.  I was taught half dbl. crochet, so that is what I use here.  You can adjust accordingly, if you use a different method.  I figured out these projects by trial & error. I sometimes start out not knowing "what" a project will be.  It just "developes" into something eventually!  I did read about the "scrap scarf" on another blogger's site.  She used the hook to pull yarn through each hole.  I just push it through using my fingers.  Whatever works for you!  Happy Crocheting!

BEDROOM SLIPPERS-BALLERINA STYLE (ALMOST LIKE YOUR GREAT GRANDMOTHER'S)
FINSHED SIZE is 6 1/2-7
Half DBL Crochet, Med. Hook, 3 thin yarns-tied together, yarn needle.
HOW: 10 in. Foundation Row
Crochet 11 additional rows.  Next, Crochet skipping to every 2nd loop, all the way around this piece.  Do this at least 2 times.  Slip on feet to check for fit.  I have small heels, so I needed to use my "yarn needle" to sew inside near the heel area, & gather the crochet together, to make it fit more snug.  This is my first experiment with slippers.  I plan to try another method, & post later.  You can add pom poms to this, or a bow.
